Stuart Braithwaite: Henrik Larsson's return from injury

As a Celtic supporter I am very lucky to have a massive choice of great memories of supporting my team. My favourite memory isn't of a victory or even a defeat.

It was the final game of the 1999-2000 season. A particularly dreadful season for Celtic which is probably best known for the nadir of going out of the Scottish Cup to First Division Inverness Caley Thistle at home, a defeat which lead to the sacking of John Barnes. At the start of the season, Celtic's talisman, Henrik Larsson, suffered a horrendous leg break whilst playing in Europe against Lyon.

My memory is of Henrik's appearance on that last day, as a substitute. It was a really magical Celtic moment. The warmth felt towards Henrik was unique and it felt not only a triumph for the player recovering from such an awful injury in time to represent Sweden in the European Championships, but it was also a ray of light for the next season, with Henrik back.

As it turned out Martin O'Neil arrived in the summer and Celtic went on to have a truly momentous season the next year.
