Having dealt with the subject of 'White' football boots via Alan Ball, the Hummel Football Boot company for which I handled the Marketing operation then turned to the colour 'RED' - and back in the early '70's where else to go except to Charlie George at Arsenal FC.
Charlie was the World's first red boot wearing soccer player in 1970 and he was quickly followed by Tommy Smith at Liverpool.
So, does that make me responsible for the rainbow colours we see around us today?
