Brian Hewitt: a charity match at The Riverside

Like most young lads, getting the chance to play on the hallowed turf of your boyhood team was always a dream.

Thankfully that opportunity arose in May 2007 - I had the chance to play at the Riverside for Charity through Football Aid - I bought my position outright and played the full 90 mins in goal.

Kept a clean sheet and pulled off a couple of good saves......just for the cameras!! lol

Comments from the former players of 'Different Class' and 'Outstanding' from Steve Vickers and Curtis Fleming, along with a dvd and a number of photos of the day will mean I have something to share in my retirement.

More importantly I helped raise several hundred pounds for charity too.

Happy Days

Brian Hewitt
