Tom Cowan - In his third season at Town Cowan sustained a serious knee injury, from which he recovered but struggled to get back into the team and had to leave - for Burnley - something he has said he understood but didn’t want to do.

Tony Carss ended his career at Town, the club for which he made more appearances than for any of his previous six.

In January 2011 Alan Lee scored for Town in the F.A. Cup Fourth Round 2-1 defeat at Arsenal

Town was Steve Kindon's last club, where he sustained the injury which ended his career.

Peter Jackson played for Town between 1990 and 1994, and returned for two spells as Manager, being sacked on both occasions in 1999 and 2003
