I remember my dad taking me to the match when I would have been 7 or 8 in 1960 or 1961. It was at the old ground on Leeds Road and he sent me into the schoolboys enclosure which was in the corner under one of the floodlights.
He went into the Paddock which was adjacent then held my hand through the railings. I suspect it was a money saving project, it being much cheaper in the schoolboys enclosure!
It remains however one of my earliest memories.
