Michael Ingham: Debut memories

I got signed as a professional through playing well in Northern Ireland and made my debut at Sheffield Wednesday away for Sunderland. I was told I was playing in the match by Peter Reid. I remember I was beaten by an overhead kick in the match. My international caps and trips to Wembley will stay with me as great memories, and my heroes of the game are Lubo Moravcik, Henrik Larsson and Paul McStay.

Michael also made 258 appearances for York City between 2008 and 2016, but made his full international debut in 2005 while at Wrexham, coming on as substitute for Maik Taylor at home to Germany and conceding one goal.
