Andy Wood: 1971, York City v. Southampton

I started supporting YCFC in 1962 a good memory I have is when we played Southampton in the FA cup and we were 3 - 1 down with about 10 mins left when we scored then with a few minutes left Paul Aimson rose to meet a cross and equalised the shippo end went wild and I was stood in the corner near the floodlight and some body jumped up and down and I got a boot in the eye suffering a right shiner and people thought I had been fighting which I had not and to this very day I still don't know if they believed me but what a lovely day when that last goal went in.

I also went to the replay where we got beat 3-2. I am City till I die.
