Picking one memory from the rollercoaster of supporting City for over 40 years is really difficult. The extremes of emotion have been intense, and I've seen them play in places as far apart as Gillingham, Torquay, Carlisle and Hartlepool. The "glory" games at Old Trafford and Wembley are obvious candidates - those memories keep you going when you're getting hammered by Northwich Victoria - but then that last minute winner by the Angel of the North at Droylsden had me dancing around like an idiot too, and that was in front of about a thousand at The Butchers Arms.
In the end I'm opting for a cracking match in the old Division 2 (now the "Championship") in March 1976. We were playing Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest and were hanging on at 2-1 when they equalised near the end. But then local lad Brian Pollard popped up with the winner - almost identical to his earlier goal as I remember it - and having had the low of the equaliser this high was all the sweeter. Which applies to the whole experience of being a City supporter when you think about it.
