I would like to write about a most wonderful night in the San Siro in 2000/2001 season when Dominic Matteo scored a rare but ever so important goal against AC Milan to secure a well earned 1-1 draw.
The atmosphere that night was electric and the team, manager and chairman came to the fans long after the match to sing Leeds songs....Marching on Together....
I got home the next day after an awful lot of being almost herded around Milan during the daytime and after the match by 100s of over zealous Italian police officers....
My mate and I felt the 24 hour day trip had been so worthwhile when, just before the match...at the turnstile... we had bumped into John Shires the YTV Calender news sports reporter....he didn't want to be on camera with us, cant think why, and we both commented that we thought he'd be more comfortable in front of the camera lens....
That season i went to every away Champions League adventure at a cost of some £8000, all worth it on some of the most memorable footballing occasions i will ever experience...
Seems a long long time ago now and sadly we're not doing as well these days...never mind, Marching on together...

I remember a solitary Leeds United fan swinging his shirt around his head right in the middle of the corporate fans on the left of the pitch as viewed from the Leeds Fans end. Priceless!
