In researching an article about the Class of 92, I remember watching their progress to the 1992 FA Youth Cup victory and reaching the final a season after. Whilst Giggs, Butt, Gary Neville, Scholes, Beckham were involved in winning the trophy Phil Neville played the 1992/3 season.
They were part of a very exciting side which brought fans to watch them as they rekindled the brilliant Busby Babes of earlier seasons. Interestingly, one of the players who also impressed me never reached the heights of these super stars, he did, however, play for Salford City FC which is a real slant on the fact that the above players have now bought the club! His name? GEORGE SWITZER, a very committed, left back who looked as though he would go all the way in the game.
