Amadeep Singh Virdee: 1990 World Cup

During the 1990 World Cup I was a serving Royal Marine based in Plymouth. I have great memories of watching the football down on Union Street in the pubs, in particular the England versus Germany match. The atmosphere was great with people both military and civilian shaking hands an applauding all the goals scored, together.

Any other day and we would be fighting with each other!

Amadeep Singh Virdee
