I remember when Villa brought the FA cup home in 1957. I was 6 years old. I was standing in Aston Park with my dad because the ground was too crowded and we couldn't get in.
We watched them go past on the bus holding the cup high, I can see it clear as day. We were worried about my 70-something year old grandma (a chronic alcoholic) though, who had gone into the ground having heard they were giving away free drinks. I think a policeman bought her home later.
Having been born and brought up in Aston (and proud of it) I'm still a Villa fan and always will be.
