Leicester City being promoted to the Premier League after a ten year absence.

Leicester City won by promotion by beating Sheffield Wednesday on a Friday night, followed by their rivals Derby County and QPR losing the next day.
On Sunday 22 June, exactly 200 years to the day since the first match on the Ground in 1814, the MCC will play the opposition on that day, Hertfordshire. In celebration, MCC will throw open its doors to local people and invite them in to see behind the scenes and partake in a range of activities at Lord's. West Indies legend Brian Lara will be the star attraction at Lord’s.
The Sporting Memories Network are thrilled to be involved in such a prestigious occasion. Leading up to the game, we will be collecting memories of MCC members, players and fans who have experienced playing or watching the game at the Home of Cricket. Memories can be from any era and will be used in future cricket and sporting memories groups we will be establishing in partnership with the MCC.
