Euro 96 at Wembley. England v Holland, last of 3 group games. England won 4-1. Shearer and Sheringham (the SaS of football) scored 2 goals each.
I was at Wembley to see one of England's best displays in years. England were winning 4-0 which meant Holland would be eliminated unless they could score 1 goal then they would qualify at the expense of Scotland. Well, late in the game Holland managed to score through Patrick Kluivert making the score line 4-1. The Dutch fans went crazy celebrating going through to the next stage and the English celebrated winning in style (and Scotland being kicked out!).
