I’d like to thank my old teacher at Ashton Park School, Derek Virgin, who joined the staff around 1961/2 and was a part-time professional at Bristol City. He converted me from being a supporter of Bristol Rugby to becoming a Bristol City supporter which I have been ever since.
Derek eventually gave up football and teaching, but if it had not been for him I would not be in the Dolman Stand on a regular basis.
