Olivier Bernard @seedorf77: winning at Highbury, the Champions League, David Ginola

Favourite memory

Of course, there are some great memories, victory at Highbury, you know, a 3-1 victory over Arsenal was quite good but especially the campaign, the C hampions League, the first three games we lost and we went on and won the last three and that got us through to the second group stage so that was quite a moment for the team and for me being able to first time go through the second group stages it was unbelievable.

It was always a good atmosphere and good adventure, we really had to dig deep in them games and at times it was intense moments. We had a really good team, big name players and young talent – all the players did really well for themselves and the fans.

Memories before Newcastle

David Ginola was one of the main figure of the French league at the time and when he moved to England. We were looking at Newcastle’s results on the weekend so we knew about Newcastle.
