Paul Kitson: my F.A. Cup hat-trick, following all the North East teams

Highlights

I scored a hat-trick here once, that was probably a highlight for me. That was Swansea in the FA cup so that was probably my best memory goal scoring wish and after that there wasn’t many because (laughs) they started buying other players and I started going down the pecking order. But it was good times and a great squad we had and I enjoyed my time here.

Memories before he joined the club.

Obviously being a local lad,I followed Newcastle, Sunderland all the North East clubs really. I was a Liverpool supporter as a youngster actually, because my favourite players were Rush and Daglish at the time and so I jumped on the bandwagon then but they were winning everything as well but I’ve always followed the North East teams.

Toon Times will culminate with a major Newcastle United exhibition at the Discovery Museum, Newcastle, although in the lead up to this event Toon Times wishes to reach out to all Newcastle United fans across the North East and further afield to get involved and share their memories, experiences, photos and memorabilia what people have collected over the years.

We are supporting the project by helping to collect NUFC memories online - fans can share their memories on the Replay Football website, simply select the Toon Times tag when submitting yours.
