John Donnachie: memories of following Morton 1977-1990

I live in NZ now but I still have fond memories of following Morton with my late father.

There are so many during the period between 1977-1990. Andy Ritchie's opportunist goal in the 1-0 Scottish Cup win over Fergie's Aberdeen in 1981.

Morton's first win at Ibrox for decades - Jim Tolmie's exquisite goal against Rangers- my dad and I were in the the Main Stand and found ourselves celebrating the goal with a few other brave souls dotted round the stadium.

Morton winning promotion to the Premier Division in 1984 - beating Kilmarnock at Cappielow 3-2.

Morton 4-0 Hibernian- Alan Rough was the Hibs goalie
