Many years ago we had a player called Bobby Shinton, i was not a fan at all he was so poor. After a home game I leant over the old tunnel and shouted "Shinton ya Shyte", he went bonkers and had to be dragged down into the dressing room while me and my brother both laughed and poked further scorn on his ability.
A week later I called into see my boss at his new home in Whickham, he
was in the back garden toiling with the builders lawn/brick mix. Next
door a guy was doing the same, he looked familiar and I asked" who is
that john"! thats Bobby shinton he said the newcastle
player, got to go I said and scarpered quick.
After I left Shinton asked my boss who I was and was told I was a
Newcastle fanatic etc, he said nothing but I knew he knew and that he
knew I knew kinda thing.
