The late Phil Gartside was Chairman of Bolton Wanderers
Youri Djorkaeff joined Bolton in 2002 from Kaiserslautern and went on to make 75 league appearaces for the club scoring 20 goals. Djorkaeff won the Cup Winners Cup in 1996 with Paris St Germain and the UEFA Cup with Inter Milan in 1998. He is a French International with 82 caps and 28 goals and was a member of the squad that won the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship.
