As a teenage boy still soaking up the atmosphere of Anfield in the 70s...
Seeing Kevin Keegan make his debut,the amazing 70s team, but my memory is of a home game v Derby County and a fantastic hat trick by a little known signing from Wednesday called Jack Whitham.
It will always stick in my memory and although he was not long at Anfield amongst all the great talent on that day he was head and shoulders above the rest... Thanks Jack.....
Jack Whitham's Liverpool career was hindered by injury and then by the arrival of John Toshack, with the result that he played only fifteen games in four years before being transferred to Cardiff City.
