Nigel's promotion goals sent Manchester City up in 1988-89, Birmingham up in 1991-92 and Stoke up in 1992-93. His hat-trick for Ipswich was scored at Odsal against Bradford City in May 1988. He played over 500 games during 13 years as a Professional footballer for Ipswich Town, Manchester City, Birmingham City, Stoke City and Burnley.
