Shane Nicholson: 1993 F.A. Cup Quarter final

FA Cup quarter final v Sheffield Wednesday. Extremely nervous before the game due to the fact I was going up against Chris Waddle. Atmosphere at the Baseball Ground was electric, packed to the rafters. I remember scoring my goal and having a rush of energy go though my whole body, when we finished celebrating the goal and they kicked off I tried to run and it felt like I was running in quicksand, the last thing I wanted now was Chris Waddle running at me. Half time came thank GOD which gave me time to recuperate before the start of the second half.

The second half was just as dramatic as the first with the game ending 3 each. The opportunity to play in front of a full house at the Baseball Ground against a very good Premier League side for me will always be a great memory and I hope it's a game that will live with the fans for many years to come..Bless
