1983 east kilbride thistle beat boness 2 /0 in the scottish junior cup at ibrox park. The story started at baillieston for me we had got through some ties already.. We played baillieston at there ground and as the saying says after baillieston hit us for everything but their luck was out. They even had the ball hit the post and rebound into goalies arms . With not long to go ek thistle scored and hung out to win. When we got past pollock in semi final the feeling was quietly confident my team were unbeatable thàt season and the cup final was no different ek winning 2 /0 the party just took off with whole team having a very happy night with whole town coming out to see them. WE had taken 35 buses with us rather than our normal 2.
