Muzzy Izzet: my first trip to Upton Park

Where do I start? I suppose like most players there's moments of pure ecstasy after scoring a goal from 30 yards or playing at Wembley stadium, moments you dreamed about as a kid growing up on a council estate in east London, but nothing can compare to the very first moment I sat on my uncle's shoulders at the age of 5/6 and watch my beloved West Ham United play, that was the moment football became more to me than just having a kick around with my mates, I knew from that moment that is what I wanted to do. Seeing the inside of Upton Park for the first time left me speechless. The atmosphere of the fans the smell of pies, hotdogs and burgers, how green the pitch was I can still see it.

Now it's me taking my 6 year old son to watch Leicester City play on a Saturday afternoon, does it get any better than that?
