I remember walking up the tunnel for Toon v SAFC and its raining heavy thinking lets get into this lot !!
Alex started his career at Falkirk before moving to Millwall where he made 218 appearances before signing for Sunderland in 1996. He was part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League as champions in 1999 and made 114 appearances for the club before moving to Wolves. Alex also played for Glasgow Rangers and Dundee who he also managed, he recently joined the coaching staff at Blackpool.
