Derby County beat West Brom 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley thanks to a goal from Stephen Pearson. Attendance 74,993.
Michael made over 550 appearances in the Football League and Premier League including 262 for Birmingham City. As well as Derby County he also played for Notts County and made 13 appearances on loan at Sheffield Wednesday. He is also a full Jamaican International.
