Graeme Mackie: 1977, St. Mirren v. Liverpool

We walked down Love Street my father and me, Saints' 100th anniversary against the great Liverpool side of 1977 , Dalgeish etc.

My sister never got picked up from Brownies that night as me and my Dad stood at the Love St. end (where we never stood-but the Cairters was for men that night).

It ended 1-1, Liverpool and Phil Neil et al got away with their reputations intact; perhaps it was the start of Fergie's rivalry with the 'Pool, who knows ?

Memories are good ... "A joy to watch"

Miss Love Street, love St Mirren, Graeme

My brother took me to this game for my 11th birthday. I was daft on Kenny Dalglish and was never happier to see him move from Celtic. We ended up standing in Cairters Corner that night cos I made my brother stand and watch the Liverpool bus turn up and I got to watch all my heroes enter the Love Street stand. Thanks Andy. You put me on the right track.
