I've been to hundreds of Villa games since my first in 1976 and of those, perhaps 60-70 have been away from home. Villa Park is a special place, full of history and tradition, but my favourite memories as a Villa supporter often involve away matches and high on the list is our FA Cup success at The Hawthorns in 1990.
While the majority of Villa fans will name Birmingham City as their arch enemy, for me it's always been about WBA. There isn't a team on earth that I hold in lower regard than West Bromwich Albion. So when we beat West Brom away in the FA Cup that year I was delirious. But it wasn't just me doing cartwheels. Watch the away end go bananas as Daley slides in our second with injury time looming, it gives me goose bumps and reminds me why I love away games and just how much Aston Villa means to me.
